The SA VAT ACT & Exporting
This is a full-day course covering the complexities of the vendor’s VAT position dealing with export and off-shore supplies in international trade.
The course addresses
We will also look at when the vendor may raise their invoices in foreign currencies and when they may not; how the rate of VAT influences the currency of the transaction; how to deal with pre-payments and extended credit.
Indirect exports are in most instances subject to VAT at the standard rate. However, there are (often complex) opportunities where the vendor may elect to zero-rate the supply of the movable goods, subject to certain requirements being met. Importantly, the requirements for documentary compliance are covered in detail.
This course is based in part on the hundreds of questions and actual problems raised by past delegates since 1997 and the event creates an excellent forum for questions & answers.
The course fees include electronic copies of the presentation material, VAT Interpretation Notes and Guides and a hyperlinked electronic version of the 5th Edition of Trading Words & Phrases.
Course costs include a light lunch and a certificate of attendance.

HOW TO provisionally BOOK
Once registered through CelerPro, whenever you enquire of any training service-provider who is using the CelerPro system all you will need to do to initiate a provisional booking will be to use your username and password.
Step One: On the right-hand side of the screen click the ‘continue’ button. This will initiate the provisional booking process beginning with a pop-up box which allows you to capture your details.
Step Two: Once you have captured your name, preferred username and email details, and have created a password, you will be sent a ‘link’ by email to continue. This is an anti-spam measure. You may then close your browser. If at any point you forget your password you can retrieve this by following the on-screen prompts.
Step Three: Use the anti-spam email link to continue the provisional booking process, and to capture your company name and delegates’ details. At any point you may add to, amend or cancel the provisional booking.
Step Four: Follow the on-screen prompts to completion. Note that there are tips and notes available throughout this process whenever you hover your mouse over the appropriate information icon.
BOOKINGS ARE ONLY CONFIRMED ON PAYMENT
Step One: If you are not already signed-in, then on the right-hand side of the screen either click “sign-in” on the page-header ribbon or click the ‘continue’ button. Either option will allow you to sign in.
Step Two: Sign-In requires that you enter your username and existing CelerPro password (if you have forgotten your password you may use the same pop-up form to retrieve this).
Step Three: Finalise the provisional booking with your company name and delegates’ details from your records or create new company and / or delegate records. You may do this whenever you make a provisional booking or through your profile page.
